Handover of keys at Logistics Park Tribus

The official handover of the keys to the Lower Austrian company Fahrzeugbedarf Kotz & Co KG marked the official opening of the new Logistics Park Tribus business and logistics centre. Among those present were Traiskirchen's Mayor Sabrina Divoky and City Councillor for Economic Affairs Manuela Rommer-Sauerzapf.
Mayor Divoky emphasised the importance of the project for the town: "The establishment of Fahrzeugbedarf Kotz & Co KG and the creation of around 50 new jobs are a clear signal for Traiskirchen as a dynamic business location. At the same time, the Logistics Park Tribus was realised in line with our development plan, which specifically focuses on greening and ecological enhancement in business parks. With generous green spaces, a retention basin for rainwater storage, e-charging stations and other sustainable measures, this has been consistently implemented. This shows that a strong economy and active climate protection go hand in hand here."
The property was realised by Viennese property developer Propel Industrial in partnership with Invesco Real Estate, the division of Invesco Ltd (NYSE: IVZ) specialising in global real estate investments. The project was realised as planned with the involvement of regional construction companies and in close cooperation with the municipality of Traiskirchen.
Armen Gevorkian, CEO and founder of Propel Industrial, emphasised the successful cooperation with all parties involved: "Our vision is to create logistics space that is economically viable and at the same time sustainable in the best sense - in cooperation with municipalities, companies and regions. The fact that we were able to realise a project together with Invesco Real Estate and local partners that creates employment and regional added value is a real sense of site responsibility for us. The establishment of Fahrzeugbedarf Kotz & Co KG shows how this vision is becoming a reality."
Traiskirchen as a location decision
As the first tenant in the Logistics Park Tribus, Fahrzeugbedarf Kotz & Co KG is not only bringing around 50 new jobs to Traiskirchen with the relocation of its production, warehouse and main office, but also a long-established, fast-growing company. The company, headquartered in Guntramsdorf, is part of the BPW Group, a leading global manufacturer of running gear systems for commercial vehicles, and combines the advantages of a global network with regional roots. As the largest full-range supplier in the Austrian commercial vehicle parts trade, Fahrzeugbedarf Kotz stocks over 350,000 items. With now five locations in Austria and four in Bosnia, the company is specifically strengthening its logistical capacities.
The new location bundles central functions of the company, as CEO Dr Gernot Wagner explains: "By merging our previous central warehouse, sales outlets and administration, we are creating a central, future-proof structure for the entire FZB in Traiskirchen. The new location will enable us to serve our more than 8,000 active customers in the commercial vehicle sector much more efficiently and to optimise our logistics processes in the long term. In a highly competitive market, this is a decisive step for the long-term competitiveness of our company."
Sustainable logistics infrastructure
The Logistics Park Tribus comprises around 30,000 m² of modern logistics space and is located in the immediate vicinity of the A2 Südautobahn motorway, one of Austria's most important transport axes. The central location in the Vienna Basin enables optimal accessibility from Vienna as well as quick access to the Adriatic route towards southern Europe. The building was planned in accordance with the ÖGNI Gold Standard and fulfils the highest requirements in terms of sustainability, efficiency and functionality. The property offers four self-sufficient hall sections with smart meter technology, rainwater management, e-mobility infrastructure, LED lighting, a submitted PV project, green strips for biodiversity, bicycle parking spaces and an efficient air heat pump and circulating air heating system.
Lower Austria as a logistics centre
Propel Industrial is further expanding its commitment in Lower Austria: In addition to the Logistics Park Tribus, the company is currently developing further projects in the state together with Invesco Real Estate - including the Logistics Park Bruck A4 in Bruck an der Leitha. ‘Lower Austria offers an ideal environment for sustainable logistics and industrial projects,’ explains Armen Gevorkian. "As a developer of sustainable space solutions, our aim is to create spaces that generate long-term economic benefits. We are delighted to be able to help shape Lower Austria as a business location."
